BREXIT! – What does it mean for your company?

Great Britain’s decision to leave the EU is tangible not just in a macro-economic sense on an abstract level – it directly influnences all those companies with an international approach having production sites or market relations in Great Britain. To be prepared for any consequences out of this you should know the specific impact on your enterprise.

You cannot display the effects of a BREXIT exactly. Nevertheless one can define scenarios which roughly guess what will happen when either hard or soft BREXIT occurs. Using a logistics network simulation such as the  “DIS” system from admoVa Consulting you can make valid statements on how a BREXIT would hit your company.

First of all the flow of goods will be interrupted– no longer trade without frontiers can happen and processes for im- and export must be established. Of much importance will be if any kind of association in terms of customs can be realized or if Great Britain becomes a third party country and full customs duties have to be paid. Anyhow, expenses will raise, it won’t become cheaper. Another consequence will be currency exchange rates which directly influences production costs. The import of goods produced in GB might no longer be attractive for the EU. And, of course, the way of entering the EU with a company base in GB is closed.

admoVa can support you with relevant facts on the impacts a BREXIT may have on your company, shining a light on productivity, distribution or relocation of factories. Don’t hesitate to contact us in case of any question. Just send an email to info@no-spam.admova.com or call us.
